On shift mentor for statutory officials. Worked on shift and on roster to observe and evaluate governance systems at an underground coal mine.

Risk evaluations using WRAC and Bow tie systems. Identification of similar risks and controls from industry databases.

Supervisor refresher program for coal mines. Presented to leadership team, supervisors and step up supervisors. Dealing with hazard identification, workplace inspections, emergency response and incident investigation. Attention to identification and control of human factors. Customised to suit particular mine.

Exam panel member – New Zealand mining SSE exam

Mining

First class certificate of competency as a coal mine manager. Valid in NSW and Queensland. Suitable for mutual recognition in New Zealand.
